Lenovo’s specification reference of its Legion desktop range has confirmed the memory size of the RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti as well as the possible launch date of these GPUs. The table indicates that the RTX 3050 will include a 4GB VRAM buffer while the RTX 3050 Ti will be upgraded to 6GB.
Interestingly, the RTX 3060 is only included with 12GB of memory, despite the fact that it almost certainly will come with a 6GB variant as well. The RTX 3050 is expected to feature 2,304 FP32 shaders while the 3050 Ti will bump the number up to 3,584 cores. The former will be paired with a 128-bit memory-bus while the latter will either get a 160-bit or a 192-bit bus in clamshell mode.
|Graphics Card Name||GPU||FP32 Cores||Memory||Memory Bus||Bandwidth|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090||GA102-300||10,496||24GB GDDR6X||384-bit||936GB/s|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti||GA102-250||10,496||20GB GDDR6X||320-bit||760GB/s|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080||GA102-200||8,704||10GB GDDR6X||320-bit||760GB/s|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti||GA104-400||7,424||8GB GDDR6X||320-bit||760GB/s|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070||GA104-300||5,888||8GB GDDR6||256-bit||448GB/s|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti||GA104-200||4,864||8GB GDDR6||256-bit/192-bit||448GB/s|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060||GA106-300||3,840||12GB GDDR6||192-bit|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti||GA106||3,584||6GB GDDR6||160-bit?|
|NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050||GA107-300||2,304||4GB/6GB GDDR6||128/160-bit|
The RTX 3050 Ti and 3060 will be based on the GA106 die while the RTX 3050 will leverage the lower-end GA107 die. Considering the 6/12GB VRAM buffer on the RTX 3060, it’s almost certain that it’ll feature a 192-bit bus as well. The RTX 3060 is expected to be announced on the 12th of Jan during the GeForce Special Broadcast event.
