PS5 Players Who Bought Black Ops Cold War for €4.99 are Getting Their License Revoked

Roughly a month back, there was a glitch on the PlayStation store that allowed gamers to buy the cross-generation bundle for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for just €4.99, instead of the standard €74.99 retail price in the EU. Turns out that that indeed was a mistake and now Sony is taking action by revoking the licenses of all those players who bought the game by taking advantage of that glitch. The 5 bucks are also being refunded to the respective payment source.

This cross-generation bundle included both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, with the latter being more expensive than many other AAA games. A post on Reddit verifies this, with users getting their 5 bucks back after owning the game for an entire month.

Many players were able to complete the campaign in this time duration and if you haven’t connected to the internet recently, you can still complete the campaign in offline mode. The multi-player, however, will require an active internet connection and inevitably lead to the game being refunded.
